Pathfinder is a South African education and study decision platform that helps students explore study pathways and understand verified bursary opportunities. We are not affiliated with any government department, university, or company that offers bursaries.
What we do
For every bursary we publish, we:
- Go to the official source — the company, institution, or government department offering the bursary
- Extract the key facts: closing date, eligibility, required documents, and application link
- Use AI to write a plain-English summary and preparation guide — always clearly labelled as AI-generated
- Run an automated freshness check to close pages that have expired or been removed
Our promise
Every page on Pathfinder must add real value beyond the original advert — clearer, more complete, and honestly labelled. If a page can't beat the source, we don't publish it.
We never claim to have "verified" something a human didn't check. Our honest claim is: continuously checked against the official source, with a last-confirmed date shown on every page.
